A plan bought here is a license key, sent with your receipt. You activate it only in ClamNotes for Mac, so you need a Mac for that; once it is activated, the plan counts on all your devices signed in to the same Apple ID: iPhone, iPad and Mac. Hours are counted per month, on yearly plans too; notes from files and study sets use the same allowance. Plans renew until you cancel, from your receipt email or Lemon Squeezy’s My Orders. Lemon Squeezy handles payment, VAT and receipts. Prices are in your country’s currency where we have one, otherwise in euros or US dollars, and include VAT where it applies; prices in US dollars are before sales tax.

Your plan starts as soon as you buy it. In the EU, EEA and UK you can still withdraw within 14 days, but you may have to pay for the time you used (Terms of Use, section 12).

FAQ

Questions.

Do I need an account?

No. ClamNotes never asks for your name, email or phone number. Only if you buy a plan do you give an email address to Lemon Squeezy, for the receipt and the license key.

Is ClamNotes free right now?

Yes. During the test, everyone gets Pro for free, with a monthly allowance: every quality level including Max, the visuals and Study. After the test, without a plan, ClamNotes switches to Free: up to 12 hours a month at Low quality. Your notes stay.

Does it work without internet?

Partly. Recording and reading your files work offline, on your device, and so does turning speech into text, up to High quality; at Max it is done online. Writing the note with Claude needs the internet. The visuals, once made, work offline too.

What do the quality levels do?

Low turns speech into text on your device and writes the note. Medium adds a fact check. High can also check facts on trusted websites. Max also turns speech into text online, for the best accuracy.

Which files can I make a note from?

PDFs, slides, documents, spreadsheets, text, photos, scans, voice memos and other audio, and video, up to 20 at a time. Pages, Keynote and Numbers files may need to be exported as PDF first. Audio and video become text on your device, and only the text is kept.

Does one plan cover my iPhone, iPad and Mac?

Yes. A plan bought on this website is a license key. You activate it only in ClamNotes for Mac (Settings > License), so you need a Mac for that, once. Then it counts on all your devices signed in to the same Apple ID, iPhone, iPad and Mac, and they share its monthly hours. A license works for one Apple ID at a time; you can move it to another one at most once every 30 days.

How do I cancel?

Use the link in your receipt email, or Lemon Squeezy’s My Orders with the email address you bought with. Your plan runs until the end of the month or year you paid for, then stops.

Can I record my teacher?

Only with the permission that the law and your school require, and only for your own studies. Photograph the board, not people. Our guide on recording lectures has a checklist.

Who can use ClamNotes?

You must be 18 or older, because the AI services ClamNotes uses are for adults only.

Are the notes always right?

No. Notes are written by AI and can contain mistakes, the fact check and exam tips too. Always check anything important.
